The client, Rareform, is an environmentally conscious company that repurposes billboards to keep them from ending up in landfills. Rareform’s purpose is to support the global movement towards going green and reducing our carbon footprint due to the threat of climate change. This project advertises Rareform’s sustainable products in the race for “environmental consciousness.” This project consists of designing a point-of-sale print and online campaign to promote the client’s sustainability actions and grow their brand.
APPLICATIONS USED: ILLUSTRATOR, PHOTOSHOP, INDESIGN
The campaign heavily emphasizes the process of taking pieces of billboards into repurposed bags. To show this, the retail banner design shows ripped pieces of different billboard designs that lead to one of Reform’s bags. Not only do these ripped pieces reflect the campaign’s brand style, but also highlight Rareform’s honorable attributes, such as being sustainable, durable, & weatherproof. The top left graphic combines a recycling arrow symbol with Rareform’s logo to emphasize its process of recycling trash. The design uses a strong teal to add contrast to an orange backpack. This tactic of using complementary colors draws visual hierarchy to bring a stronger focus to the actual product.
