One of Wells’ most honored stories is The War of the Worlds. For this project, Late Night Publishing is redesigning the entire layout of this renowned alien invasion novel. This project consists of conducting a conceptual book jacket design including the front cover, back cover, spine, and front and black flaps.
Design a sci-fi cover that depicts the alien invasion in Well’s novel. The front cover has a rip in it which alludes to the idea of distress and chaos (representing the war). In the illustration, there’s a extraterrestrial machine creeping in the distance. This imagery evokes curiosity and fear within the reader. Up in the sky, there are two moons. This represents the two worlds coming together for the apocalyptic fight. The farther planet is red, signifying blood and death.
